New Hampshire contractor licensing, explained
New Hampshire doesn’t license general contractors. So this page sticks to what you can check about Crimson Maple Construction: our registration, our written estimate, our warranty, and the trades we bring in.
What the state licenses, and what it doesn’t
New Hampshire’s Office of Professional Licensure and Certification licenses trades: electricians, plumbers, gas fitters. General contractors, remodelers and carpenters are not on its list.
In Manchester, the city’s Building Division reviews plans, issues permits and inspects the work. It also requires a licensed New Hampshire Master electrician on multi-family homes, single-family homes that are not owner-occupied, and commercial projects. The state building code it inspects to moved to the 2024 international codes on July 1, 2026.
Where we stand
We’re registered as Crimson Maple Construction LLC, a New Hampshire limited liability company formed with the Secretary of State on May 19, 2026. That is a business registration, not a trade license, and you can find us under that name in the state’s online business lookup.
Every job gets a written estimate before it starts, with a one-year workmanship warranty in it, and we don’t start until it’s signed and the first deposit is in. How quotes work lists what the estimate covers.
The trades we bring in, and the work we turn down
When a job needs one of the licensed trades, we bring one in. Devin’s list: “Electrician, plumber, excavator, all when needed.” As of September 2026 the owners said they hadn’t had to sub out any work yet.
Foundations are a firm no. Asked about them on our onboarding call, the owners said: “No, no, we were not certified for that.” Pouring concrete pads is out too, for lack of the equipment. The guide to hiring a contractor in New Hampshire has the questions worth asking anyone, and you can read who Devin is and what the company does.
